This furniture design project was a collaboration with the Lasunya brand, resulting in a collection that includes a 2-seater sofa, lounge chair, and side table. The concept was inspired by the intricate patterns found in fabric embroidery, combined with the idea of placing stitched leather details on the seating area. The decision to showcase the leather stitching on the exterior of the furniture, particularly on the seating surfaces, created a unique and visually striking effect.
The craftsmanship and high-quality leather used in this project not only added a tactile and luxurious feel but also contributed to the overall aesthetic appeal. The deliberate choice to highlight the stitching on the outside, covered by a fabric layer, added an extra layer of sophistication and beauty to the design from every angle.
This attention to detail and innovative approach to combining materials led to the recognition of the project, as it received the prestigious Reddot Award in 2022. The award acknowledged the outstanding creativity, craftsmanship, and overall excellence exhibited in this furniture collection.
