Pattern Design

The design project focused on creating a collection of modern Thai-patterned mat, aiming to capture the essence of contemporary Thai culture while minimizing traditional intricacies. The idea emerged from the concept of incorporating patterns inspired by natural elements such as wind, water, and earth. These elemental lines were intricately woven into Thai fabrics using traditional weaving techniques and methods, resulting in a collection of three distinct mat patterns: 'Patthapi,' 'Wayu,' and 'Thara.'

Each pattern was carefully crafted to showcase the beauty of Thai craftsmanship while embracing a minimalist aesthetic. By blending these elemental motifs with traditional Thai textile techniques, the collection seamlessly brought together the rich heritage of Thai craftsmanship with a modern touch. The mats, named 'Patthapi,' 'Waiyu,' and 'Thara,' not only exude beauty and intricacy but also effortlessly integrate into various interior design spaces, making them a timeless and versatile addition to any decor.
